About Sedation Dentistry of Grand Island

UPDATE:  We are now temporarily located in Pershing Orthodontics for the next six months until we find a permanent location.  The reason for this sudden move is our previous location was sold and our lease was not renewed by the new owners.

Your visit should be as pleasant and stress-free as possible. That's why our dental office was designed to keep patient comfort in mind. Whether you need a general check-up or more extensive dental work, we'll address your concerns prior to treatment and answer all questions in a relaxed and pressure-free setting. At our dental practice, we offer:

  • Different forms of sedation, to help relax those procedure jitters
  • Easy appointment scheduling
  • Convenient office hours
  • A caring, attentive dental staff
  • Flexible payment options

What does it mean to practice "sedation" dentistry?
Sedation Dentistry is an option for people who get nervous or anxious about going to the dentist, or desire to be more comfortable during long dental procedures. Good candidates for sedation may include individuals who have difficulty sitting still for long periods of time, or those who are scared of needles or experience anxiety/panic attacks.

Sedation can be administered three ways:

  • Orally (by pill) - Allows patients to be relaxed but aware. It takes the edge off for slightly nervous patients.
  • Inhalation (nitrous gas) - Allows patients to be pleasantly relaxed while being aware of what is happening around them. It also is helpful in pain management during procedures.
  • IV (intravenous) -  Allows patients to be relaxed and comfortable with little to no memory of the procedure afterwards. Patients will need someone to drive them home and be with them for up to six hours after the procedure as the drugs leave their system.
